Downunder has designed policies for persons returning home, or emigrating. So you can purchase a policy that covers you until you reach your final destination country and, most importantly, should you require repatriation after a medical emergency, you can be repatriated to your final destination. 

Your Insurance is a Living Thing 

Like life itself, your insurance has to be flexible to meet your changing travel plans. You might have a worldwide 12 month policy (excluding USA, Canada and Japan) but decide whilst backpacking to take a detour via the USA for half your trip, or perhaps you might like to go paragliding or do Grade 6 white water rafting.
