Where in the world...

are those LeapFrog guys?

The past two weeks have seen this Franco/Kiwi expedition delight in what France has to offer in the
way of fishing, eating (of course), dancing, hitch-hiking, sipping champagne & slugging cheap wine.

Catch up with the French and Kiwi 'LeapFroggers' and view their long-anticipated interview with Ex All

Black Byron Kelleher.  Video Link

Watch Benji struggle with the thought of biting the heads of small fish in an attempt to win over a challenge. Video Link

Visit their website http://www.leapfrogvoyage.com/ where they have been posting their videos of cultural faux pas and

language difficulties as they delve into each other's way of life and experience each other's countries as only a local could.

"Spending time with the Frogs in their own country is such a fantastic opportunity.  There is such a rich culture here, and in some ways completely different to ours, so it's nice to know exactly when you put your foot in it culture-wise." - Benji Hall

'I'm just excited about finishing up on the complete opposite side of the world - a place as exotic and foreign as New Zealand.  But first, I can't wait to see how these little Kiwis appreciate all things French - especially the local Breton dance!' - Antoine Bourgin

Spotlight on:

SW of the USA
The United States is one of the largest and most popular countries in the world
and couldn't possibly be fully explored during one vacation which is why we've
started with a bite-size chunk, the South West, offering oodles of attractions
and events to keep you stimulated throughout your trip.

Hot August Nights - Reno 7 Sparks, Nevada  "Shine your Chevy, detail your Deuce Coupe and hustle your hot rod over to Reno and Sparks' Hot August Nights for a celebration of America's love affair with cars and rock & roll.  This 'blast from the past' allows baby boomers to relive the 'happy days' and it provides an opportunity for those who didn't experience the 50's and 60's firsthand to enjoy the era."  More...

Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta "The Fiesta is the world's largest ballooning event, largest annual international event in North America and the most photographed event in the world.  A cultural landmark for Albuquerque, this festival gives you a first-hand look at the world of ballooning.  For 10 days in October, you may walk out onto a large field where balloonists from around the world set up, inflate, launch and possibly land their balloons.  Mass ascensions of balloons with hundreds of different colors and shapes create an often stunning and magnificent sight."  More...

The Love Festival  Since 1992 The Love Festival has toured the US stopping by most major cities to promote good music, good vibes and good love.  More...

San Jose Jazz San Jose Jazz is a 22 year old public benefit corporation dedicated to promoting jazz through performance and education to enrich the lives of the people in the San Jose community.  More...

Flying High -

Tip of the Month

Pack Light!  Not just where hand luggage is concerned but check-in luggage too.  Use miniaturised toiletries and try to ship things home where possible.  Wear the heaviest clothing on the flight (flights can usually be draughty anyway and it's easier to remove layers than carry extras around) and if you're going somewhere you can pick up a bargain, try saving space and wear your new purchases once you get there.

Extra Tip: When packing your baggage, remember that it's easier to make a list of your effects there and then than it is to try and remember them under stress if something does go missing.  Be sure to bring enough necessities in your carry-on bag (eg. meds) for a couple of days, just in case.

Work From Home NZ

Working from home is finally becoming less frowned upon in NZ but with all the scam offers out there, it is sometimes hard knowing where to go to find suitable jobs.  If you're thinking of working from home, Work From Home Guide is a great site to visit that will help you to avoid scam offers and actually earn that extra buck you're looking for.
