Travellers should look for
online travel insurance before heading to Australia to take advantage of award-winning travel services.
According to northernstar.com, the recent Sydney-based Golden Backpack Awards recognised two businesses in Byron Bay for their outstanding contributions to the Australian tourism sector. The prize for Best Travel Agent went to Peter Pan's Adventure Travel, a company which launched back in 2000 and now has branches all across the country.
Matt McCourt, director of Peter Pan's Adventure Travel, told the website: "It's really great we won an award, but what really makes it satisfying is that the awards are voted for by the backpackers themselves."
Another Byron Bay business, Mojo Surf, was recognised as offering the Best Tour/Activity in New South Wales, leaving its managers feeling chuffed.
Backpackers are urged to get hold of
one way travel insurance before heading out on a trip, especially when they plan to stay in communal youth hostels.
Gap year travel insurance is also available for younger backpackers.
