An increasing number of
worldwide travel insurance customers could be set to opt for all-inclusive or long-haul breaks, it has been claimed.
Trevor Davis, director of retail distribution at The Co-operative Travel, said this kind of getaway could be one of the most popular in 2010.
He commented that budgeting for trips such as those to Australia and New Zealand could drive up the popularity of these kinds of trips.
Mr Davis explained: "These all-inclusive holidays give them a chance to be sure of what their actual budget is for that holiday.
"I'd expect to see a positive performance from those long haul destinations where there is an all-inclusive deal included."
He also suggested that many people will continue to see a holiday as an essential rather than a luxury next year, which could result in high demand for flights and accommodation.
Travellers planning a break in Australia may want to head to the country in January, when the Bid Day Out festival travels from city to city.
