Backpacker travel insurance might be considered by people planning a trip to Geraldine in New Zealand's South Island to see a biker meeting.
The Timaru Herald reports that bikers from the Panther Owners Club, based in the UK, are taking part in a drive through the South Island and stopped off at the town's Rawhiti Backpackers on the route.
Panther motorcycles were manufactured between 1904 and 1967 and eight of them were shipped to Nelson for the event, with one coming from Germany and another from Ireland.
Des Molloy, a biker from New Zealand's Golden Bay, told the paper: "Another rider is coming from Canada to ride along and to complete the international flavour and a couple of Australians will interrupt their Blenheim Warbirds holiday to savour the sights and sounds of this rare gathering."
Mr Molloy will ride a 1965 650cc Panther named Penelope, which took part in a transcontinental motorcycle journey from China to the Netherlands known as The Last Hurrah.
