Even in cases where one-way travel insurance has been secured, skiing enthusiasts should still take the appropriate measure to protect themselves, a leading agency claims.
The Ski Club of Great Britain has recommended that despite ski helmets not being mandatory in Europe, they should still be used by all children under 13.
Betony Garner, club spokesperson, indicated that helmet usage has been increasing in recent times, with 30 per cent of adults and 70 per cent of children now donning one before hitting the slopes.
"People really need to think about their own ability within skiing," she explained.
"They should control their speed and, most importantly, they should respect other people on the mountain so making sure they look around before setting off."
Cheap travel insurance provider AllClear recently warned holidaymakers not to consider taking a trip without securing adequate insurance beforehand, reports Insurance Daily.
