Young backpackers taking advantage of cheap flights on offer from STA Travel also have the option of buying one-way travel insurance.
Global Visas reports that backpackers with the right working visas can get a one-way ticket to Australia for £10 through STA Travel, which is trying to encourage more young people to take a working holiday in the country partly to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
The company says nearly a quarter of people aged 18-34 are planning on heading overseas between now and the end of next year and those using the special offer will be able to head to places including Perth, Sydney and Adelaide.
John Constable, managing director of STA Travel Group, said: "The £10 Pom is an opportunity for Brits to experience all that an Australia visa has to offer from working at a vineyard in Margaret River to learning to surf on Bondi Beach. Theres never been a better time to escape the UK and head down under."
