Bargain basement trips to Oz with £215 flights and cheap travel insurance

To celebrate victory over Australia in the second Ashes test British Airways (BA) and Qantas have teamed up to offer fares to Australia based on the first innings scores of the second test.

The number of seats up for grabs is 425, based on the number of runs scored by England.

BA's consumer sales manager Simon Brooks said: "Andrew Strauss and the England cricket team have done us proud, and as a result we're offering this once in a lifetime promotion to fly to the other side of the world for £215."

Flights will be available to buy on 21 July July 21st at 10:00am on BA's website and 8:00am on Qantas'.

The Ashes cricket tournament runs from 8 July July 8th to 24 August August 24th.

The historic test match saw England end a 75-year wait to beat the Australian team at Lord's cricket grounds.
