Popularly known as Australia's most cultured state, Victoria has secured the largest number of wins in the country's 20 Best Experiences awards.
Locations singled out for praise include the city of Melbourne as the nation's food and drink capital and Mount Buller, which secured the accolade of best Snow Experience.
In total, six Victorian tourism hotspots were counted among Australia's best.
Other awards went to the Sovereign Hill open-air museum, which offers visitors a sample of life in the gold rush era and 12 Apostles Helicopters, a firm providing breathtaking tours of the Shipwreck Coast.
"The success of Victorian operators and destinations is a credit to the state," said Chantal Dunbar, editor of Travelling in Australia magazine, which conducted the awards.
"It's been an incredibly hard year for Victoria as a whole and yet they've still managed to blitz the field," she added.
