A new branch of Backpacker Campervans has opened in the region popular with young travellers.
The firm's marketing manager Kate Meldrum said the company is "thrilled" to be right in the heart of Australia's backpacking capital: "The region is famous for its waves, whale watching and wildlife. It offers great fishing, swimming, snorkelling, sailing and hang-gliding.
"It's the perfect destination to have fun or simply slow down - and now it's also the home of Backpacker Campervans."
The new branch will be available for bookings from September 28th and is situated just 100 metres from Byron Bay airport.
According to tourist information website VisitByronBay.com, the region's beaches are the prettiest and cleanest on Australia's east coast, including the open expanses of Seven Mile Beach and the little coves in the Broken Head Nature Reserve.
