Travellers planning to take advantage of the cheap Aussie dollar should buy

Goldcoast.com.au reports that although Australia has been affected by the global financial crisis just like everyone else, the tourism industry could receive an increase in visitors owing to the cheap dollar giving international backpackers more for their money. Many travellers are choosing to head to places closer to home in order to save money, but people who are already on a round-the-world trip may be especially attracted by the prospect of a cheaper visit to Australia.
Dean Cooper, president of Gold Coast Adventure Travel Group, told the website: "We are in a better position on the coast than other regions. That's not to say we will be booming, but we still have so much more to offer."
Australia remains a hugely popular travel destination for many international visitors, all of whom are advised to buy
