People planning to enter a competition from Youth Hotels Association (YHA) Australia to win a trip around the country could also seek
gap year travel insurance.
YHA.com.au reports that to tie in with the 100th anniversary of global hostelling, the company is asking prospective backpackers to make a 60-second video showing what they would take them with them if they were heading to Australia for a 100-day trip.
After the closing date of June 30th, the maker of the video deemed to be the best will win an extensive backpacking prize worth some $6,000 (£2,998), including 100 nights in YHA hostels and bus and rail passes, as well as 100 hours of free internet time to upload videos, photos and blogs detailing the trip.
Backpackers - all of whom have the option of buying
online travel insurance - will be taking the trip on or before October 1st this year and could visit the website for more information.
