Backpacker travel insurance is recommended for people planning to use the expanded Greyhound service in Victoria, Australia.
According to etravelblackboard.com, revised legislation in the Victoria region of Australia means that backpackers will now be able to explore more of the area using Greyhound buses. Coach operator Greyhound Australia has been restricted from carrying out pick-ups and drop-offs at locations other than in major Victoria cities for over ten years, but that has now changed, allowing both local residents and visitors to travel more freely.
Robert Thomas, chief executive officer of Greyhound Australia, told the website: "The new services will benefit everyone from backpackers seeking seasonal work in the orchards to holidaymakers and locals looking for simplified travel arrangements."
The company is offering a 20 per cent discount on adult fares until the end of March to celebrate the new development.
Its expanded bus service will offer a cheaper way for backpackers and other budget travellers with
online travel insurance to get around in Victoria.
