An Argentinean tourist found herself in the wrong part of the world this week after an online booking mix-up.
Instead of landing in the bustling city of Sydney, Australia, Monique Rozanes Torres Aguero of Buenos Aires landed instead at the small town of Sydney, in Canada.
She only realised the mistake after boarding a propeller plane in Halifax which took her to the former coal and steel mill town of Sydney, Nova Scotia (NS).
Christiane Tanner of Westmount, NS told the Vancouver Sun that: "She never thought anything was wrong until she got on the small Dash 8 in Halifax."
She went on to say: "She was taking pictures out the airplane window and said to herself, 'Something is not right'."
However the Argentinean sculptor decided to stay and has enjoyed the sites of Cape Breton.
Learning from Ms Aguero, travellers to Australia should always conduct online bookings with care.
Australia's vast landscape includes beaches and tropical rainforests which can be explored on foot, horseback or 4x4.
Such a backpacking holiday requires booking the right backpacker insurance online, after booking the correct destination of course.
