Kangaroo Island residents will have a spring in their step at the news that their home is continuing to pick up tourism awards.
A favourite trick pub quiz question for people who don't live in the southern part of the hemisphere is 'which country does Kangaroo Island belong to?'
But the number of visitors attracted to the place is now making the question a little too easy - it's in Australia of course.
Earlier this year, Kangaroo Island was voted by travel agents around the world as the ideal place for a green holiday, thanks to its recognition as the country's Best Eco Experience.
National Geographic Traveller Magazine recently awarded it Best Island in the Asia Pacific region, a bauble which will go with last year's Best Regional Food Destination given to it by Vogue Traveller Magazine.
