Fans then complete their entry by choosing their favourite Sydney experience and posting it on the group's wall.
New South Wales minister for tourism Jodi McKay said, "We are thrilled to offer an innovative way for young travellers and adventure fans to win a trip to Sydney."
She added: "Our city, set against a breathtaking natural environment, is a wonderful place to live, work and holiday."
Those who want to chat with fellow travellers can also add the Life Points application to their Facebook page and join a forum where they can share experiences with fellow nomads.
