Since arriving on Queensland's Hamilton Island on 1st July, competition winner Ben Southall received negative feedback for writing only seven entries on his blog.
Beating over 34,000 applicants to the six-month posting 34-year old British charity fundraiser Ben has recently dined with local dignitaries.
But reports suggest that many think that his itinerary is too exclusive and does not reflect the experiences of the average traveller.
"Who among us will ever have a chef personally dine with us or a guided tour of everything?" was one comment made on the blog.
Another reader said: "Ben looks like just a character Tourism Queensland made up. Tell me your story, not their itinerary."
Ben's latest posting describes him staying up till 02:00 local time to finish uploading material onto the blog.
