According to the Independent, 11 islands just off the coast of Queensland, Australia, are up for sale and at nearly half the price they were last year.
Turtle Island is priced at around £744,000 and is said to include a property large and opulent enough to cater for "the biggest celebrity party".
Local estate agent Richard Vanhoff told the newspaper: "A lot of owners have had these islands for many, many years. They bought them as a nice place to bring up their kids and now the kids are finishing school or have left home."
As many have now been on the market for more than a year, vendors are willing to bring down their prices, he added.
Meanwhile, those planning a less permanent visit could take advantage of a new flights package offered by Emirates airline.
The Visit Australia Pass guarantees a single stop in Dubai and flights to any of 22 Australian destinations including more remote locations as well as major cities.
