Tourism Australia have recommended a number of "secret spots" where visitors to the countries can find the best parties.
One suggestion is Cockatoo Island, in the heart of Sydney Harbour, which offers a front row view of the world famous fireworks, a barbecue and cold beers.
Another option for travellers hoping for some post-Christmas winter sun is the Falls Music and Arts Festival, held from December 29th to January 1st.
Held in two locations at the same time - Lorne in Victoria and Marion Bay in Tasmania - the event will play host to a programme of performances by top bands DJs and comedians.
Several beaches all over Australia will also be hosting New Year's Eve celebrations, including Noosa in Queensland, Cable Beach in Broome and Glenelg in Adelaide.
Visitors planning a multi-stop trip could take advantage of the new Visit Australia pass offered by Emirates airline, which covers 22 destinations across the country.
