Worldwide travel insurance is advised for all backpackers planning a trip to Australia in the wake of a new promotional campaign from Tourism Australia.
According to Australian Visa Bureau, themovechannel.com reports that Airline Emirates has joined a new campaign recently launched by Tourism Australia. The organisation is keen to capitalise on the upcoming release of Baz Luhrmann's new sweeping romance Australia, which stars Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman. Emirates will join the campaign by running adverts in UK newspapers over the coming weeks, using the same 'walkabout' theme that is being used to define the main thrust of the promotion.
With Luhrmann's epic following a class-defying romance between a British aristocrat and a rough cattle-wrangler in pre-war Australia, the resulting promotional campaign has been designed to encourage urbanites to pursue adventure in the outback. Luhrmann has been brought in as a special advisor to the project.
Australia is already a popular travel destination for backpackers and other young travellers, but the tourism board is keen to seize the marketing opportunity presented by Luhrmann's new project.
