Travellers inquiring about inoculations to protect themselves against illnesses in exotic locations could also buy
worldwide travel insurance.
According to the Association of British Travel Agents (Abta - the Travel Association), people travelling to long-haul destinations should make immediate inquiries into the inoculations they may need to safeguard their health while on the trip.
The organisation also says that package holidays could be a good idea for many travellers as this means that a tour operator is always around in case something goes wrong.
Sean Tipton, spokesperson from Abta - the Travel Association, said: "If you are going on a long-haul holiday, often for the countries concerned you are going to have to be inoculated against various diseases."
Mr Tipton added that getting the right advice and seeking the right inoculations was "very important". He went on to say that package holidays should be considered more seriously the further away from home people were travelling in order to prevent mishaps. People could seek
