Backpackers planning to try some amateur boxing in Bundaberg in Queensland, Australia, could buy
online travel insurance beforehand.
News Mail reports that the town's Globe Hotel is hosting the amateur event, which has been popular with backpackers and footballers in recent years, and will raise money for the local Sid Blair's Bundaberg Boxing League.
There were already 15 fights confirmed this morning (July 3rd) for the Friday night event, with a range of heavyweights and superheavyweights lined up to appear.
Sid Blair told the paper: "Last year we had footballers and backpackers line up for a fight. We've already got some footballers and I expect some backpackers will come along too. It's a pretty big night."
Anybody planning to take part in some boxing or try out other physical or extreme sports like bungee jumping or skydiving could buy
worldwide travel insurance first and make sure it offers specific cover for what they're doing.
Queenstown on the central South Island of New Zealand is one of the world's most famous bungee-jumping locations.
