While experts urge travellers to seek
backpacker travel insurance, two new backpacks designed for women could make a trip more comfortable.
Several new backpacks have entered the market designed specifically for women, in a bid to allow a greater degree of comfort for women on long, activity-packed treks, and the Seattle Times has singled out two of them. The Gregory Deva 60 offers a new suspension with straps that are better-designed for the female back, and provides a 60-litre capacity which is perfectly suited to a week's trekking.
The Deav weighs more than some of the competition, but is described as a good option for serious backpackers looking for more than a gentle stroll.
The Deuter Cruise 26 SL is recommended for backpackers looking for just the day out in the great outdoors and is deemed particularly suitable for ski slopes. The pack is designed to shift the centre of gravity into the small of the back, allowing for better balance and greater manoeuvrability.
Travellers should always buy
