Backpackers who may have bought
worldwide travel insurance before heading to Australia now have the option of taking a ride around the country in a brand new campervan.
Travellers Auto Barn has announced the launch of 50 new Chubby vans offering backpackers the opportunity to explore Australia in a two-berth budget camper with funky, eye-catching designs.
"We want to make a strong statement with these vans, that they are reliable, great value and very cool, rather than trying to grab attention with offensive pictures and slogans," said Travellers Auto Barn managing director Peter Burke.
Launching the new vehicles, Mr Burke explained: "We know that backpackers want to explore in something that they can tell their mates back home about and show off in photos, so we developed some pretty unique body decals for these vans."
Backpackers could take out
online travel insurance to ensure their possessions are covered when stored in the campervans.
Travellers Auto Barn recently urged people on holiday in a campervan to make sure they remember to lock all doors and windows to reduce the risk of thieves stealing their possessions.
