Travellers stocked up on travel insurance and opting to brave a trip into Australia's Outback could bag themselves a cheeky award at one of this summer's more off-the-wall festivals.
Located in the extreme north-west of the state of Queensland, the Julia Creek Dirt Festival has drawn in thousands of backpackers and locals alike over the past few years.
And while the event always boasts an impressive line-up of acts, it has perhaps become most famous for its annual staging of a competition to find the best bottom in Oz.
However, anyone thinking of taking out travel insurance and heading Down Under to stake a claim to the title should probably get a move on, as the festival's organisers have now confirmed that they are in a legal battle to maintain intellectual property rights for 'Australia's Best Butt'.
"Last week when we saw on national TV Australia's best bum, we do Australia's best butt and theirs of course is a different name, but we think just because they've got a bit more money than us they take it," coordinator Margy Rider told ABC News.
"It's going to be like the big Goliath thing, we're going to go up against them and say 'back off'."
