People heading to cheaper overseas destinations could benefit from buying
worldwide travel insurance beforehand.
The most successful overseas economies will be the ones that keep costs down for tourists planning a visit, according to aviation organisation Mott MacDonald.
New figures from Royal Mail Group's Post Office Holiday Costs Barometer reveal that Thailand is one of the cheapest places to visit and costs over 40 per cent less to visit than Spain.
Chris Chalk, director of aviation for Mott MacDonald, said at the Passenger Terminal Expo at London ExCel: "There is a lot of discounting going on at the moment where the core markets in various countries need to exist and keep people coming in."
The Passenger Terminal Expo 2009 finishes its three-day run today (March 26th) and has featured presentations from figures across the passenger terminal industry.
