Skiers looking for lower prices in the coming months have the option of buying
worldwide travel insurance and heading to countries such as Bulgaria.
The Ski Club of Great Britain has said that keen skiers should book now for trips they want to take over the next few months in order to get the best prices.
Many skiers are aiming for ski slopes in North America in a bid to avoid the cost of the euro, but a cheaper option for cash-strapped backpackers looking to get some time on the slopes could be to head for Bulgaria as it still has its own currencies.
A spokeswoman for the Ski Club of Great Britain said: "You've got European destinations which don't use the euro, for example Bulgaria."

Nearly 50 per cent of keen skiers not taking a skiing holiday this year have cited the recession as the main reason, according to ski operator Erna Low.
