A blogger has been telling visitors to the travelbite website about his experiences of travelling in Indonesia - a place that is a magnet for many backpackers heading to the southern hemisphere.
Nick Claxton was struck by how many temples there are to peek inside in Yogya. If you only visit one Indonesian Buddhist temple this year it seems that the Borobudur is the one to go for.
Borobudur, Claxton explained, is the largest Buddhist monument ever built and it can't have been an overnight Ground Force-style job. The huge multi layered monument was built from over a million blocks of black volcanic stone, and actually assembled solely by human labour.
Food is essential fuel for trekking around temples and Yogya has no shortage of tasty dishes on offer, especially in a food street called Malioboro.
Claxton was particularly taken with a dish called nasi gudeg. He wrote: "It was served with warm rice, chicken, boiled egg, slightly spicy coconut sauce, tofu and other spices that I'm not very sure of it. The taste of it was really amazing."
