Backpackers planning a visit to a new budget hotel in Taiwan have the option of seeking
online travel insurance before they leave home.
Taiwan News reports that Formosa Hotels Group is to open a new budget hotel near the centre of Taipei under the brand Just Sleep, which will be aimed at backpackers and business tourists looking for cheaper accommodation.
The hotel will be one of a new chain and will offer 150 rooms on Zhonghua Road from June 20th, which will be available from NT$2,000 (£39.22) a night.
The price could appeal to backpackers, some of whom may have chosen to buy one-way travel insurance.
Amy Hsueh, chief executive officer of Grand Formosa Regent Taipei, told the website: "The basic concept behind the Just Sleep hotel chain is to provide for business travellers looking for budget hotels, quality accommodation, excellent amenities and nearby conveniences."
In related hotel news, the Hans Brinker in Amsterdam has cultivated a reputation for being the worst hotel in the world, by advertising the possibility of dust mite infestations and soiled sheets for intrepid guests.
