Worldwide travel insurance could benefit Bigfoot hunters in Australia

Backpackers have the option of buying online travel insurance before hoping for encounters with the Australian Bigfoot.

All News Web reports that two backpackers had an unsettling experience recently when they encountered a mysterious creature near the Three Sisters peaks outside Sydney.

German 23-year-old backpacker Ingrid Schon and French 22-year-old Adi Hassan were out in the bushland later than they should have been and heard a snapping twig nearby. Torchlight revealed sizeable footprints and a large creature running into the distance.

Ms Schon told the website: "Admittedly we did not get a close look but we think what we saw looked like the American Bigfoot, basically covered in fur and about two meters tall. It definitely had no clothes on and was not human."

She added that the two friends were terrified by their encounter and almost got lost on the way back as a result.

The Blue Mountains, where the pair were exploring, is said to be home to the mythical Yowie, a creature similar to the American Bigfoot.

The region is a popular trekking location for Sydney residents and tourists alike, many of whom may have purchased one-way travel insurance.
