Backpackers heading down under with
cheap travel insurance could soon be boosted by a new online booking system.
Queensland company eTourism has developed a booking programme which enables travellers to book direct with an accommodation provider, reports eTravel Blackboard.
With
online travel insurance already used by many backpackers, travellers are used to researching and booking facilities over the internet.
Now the technology provided by eTourism enables resorts, hotels, motels and other accommodation suppliers to attract travellers and have them confirm bookings quickly online.
Bryan Marsh, eTourism managing director, explained to the site: "We provide customers with innovative and functional solutions by specialising in website design, search engine marketing and online reservation systems.
"The website is the best sales tool a business has."
In 2001, eTourism developed its first complete online reservation system, providing simple, automated online bookings.
Early clients included the Sea World Nara Resort and Palazzo Versace Hotel.

backpacker travel insurance.
