Cheap travel insurance customers may be among those hoping to keep their costs even lower by booking a package ski holiday.
According to the Ski Club of Great Britain, Britons are increasingly opting for all-inclusive deals as they allow customers to know upfront exactly how much they are paying.
Tour operators now take a 79 per cent share of the market, following a recent two per cent rise in demand.
Al Morgan, information manager for the association, added that rising prices at no-frills airlines and increased ski carriage charges may also have contributed to the fall in interest in independent travel firms.
France continues to dominate the market, with 43 per cent of British skiers choosing a winter sports holiday across the channel, he said.
Mr Morgan noted that Austria seems to be growing in favour, however, with a two per cent increase in popularity. Italy and Switzerland also saw a one per cent rise in demand each.
