Cheap travel insurance is recommended for backpackers looking to take advantage of the shortage of men in New Zealand.
The NZ Herald reports that, in a break from tradition, Tourism NZ is focussing on the growing number of single women available in New Zealand, in a bid to encourage young men to visit the country. According to research firm Statistics New Zealand, a surge in the number of 20-45 year-old men leaving the country means that there are now 35,000 more women in this age range, leaving much better odds for British men seeking a girlfriend.
Tourism NZ said: "It has been revealed that the women of New Zealand have a far more difficult job than Brits when it comes to finding Mr Right as they are currently experiencing a widespread 'man drought'."
The organisation described the campaign as a "light-hearted" addition to a recent more traditional $7 million promotional campaign that has screened on British television.
