Sat nav typo couple could have bought online travel insurance

The Swedish couple were keen to visit the island of Capri but instead found themselves in the town of Carpi in northern Italy.

Asking where they could find the island's famous Blue Grotto, the couple discovered their mistake.

One Carpi tourism official said: "Capri is an island. They did not even wonder why they didn't cross any bridge or take any boat."

Earlier this month saw a cyclist in Scotland fall victim to another sat-nav blunder.

Jamie Barton, riding from Land's End to John O'Groat's for charity, was given three points on his licence after mistakenly riding onto the motorway.

Although Jamie was not driving he received a £60 fine in addition to the penalty points.
