Low-cost airline Monarch announced towards the end of last week that it would carry 140,000 passengers to destinations in Europe over the festive period - many of whom will have bought
online travel insurance.
The carrier has said that it will operate 955 flights between December 19th and January 9th - with many young people and students opting to take advantage of their Christmas holidays by flying to Malaga, Tenerife and Alicante.
According a statement released by Monarch: "Cyprus is also proving a very popular destination this Christmas with new and increased frequencies from London and Manchester ensuring that low fares are available throughout the festive period."
There are a number of deals to be had during the Christmas period as insurance providers look to attract an increased amount of travellers.
It is predicted that approximately three million Brits will be travelling abroad over the festive season on ski holidays or in search of warmer climates.
