People planning to get hold of a new guidebook on New Zealand have the option of buying
online travel insurance.
AsiaTravelTips.com reports that the Qualmark 2009 New Zealand Travel Guide will soon be available to overseas visitors and will offer detailed advice on where to go, where to stay and what to see.
It's a notable development in the history of New Zealand's tourism sector as Qualmark is the official mark of quality in the country. The guide provides a star system rating accommodation options among 900 pages of information and maps.
Geoff Penrose, chief executive of Qualmark, told the website: "As the guidebook only includes Qualmark-assured tourism businesses, this is a first for New Zealand visitor information resources."
He added that the guide is free and so tourists and backpackers don't need to look anywhere else for local or national information.
Tourism New Zealand pointed out that the guide's sheer quantity of Qualmark-assured places and activities revealed the healthy state of New Zealand tourism.
New Zealand's stunning natural beauty is a major pull for travellers from all over the world, all of whom have the option of buying one-way travel insurance.
