Skiers planning a trip to Canada encouraged by improvements to the country's winter resorts could prepare for their holiday with
online travel insurance.
Increasing numbers of British travellers are choosing Canada for their winter ski break, says the Canadian Tourism Commission.
Nim Singh, media and public relations manager for the commission, said UK holidaymakers make up around ten per cent of the country's visitors from overseas.
The last ten years have seen UK visitor numbers rise from around 20,000 to an estimated 100,000, she noted.
Ms Singh added that Vancouver's Winter Games in 2010 would attract further interest, encouraging resorts to announce improvements to accommodation and sports facilities.
"Resorts in Kicking Horse, Panorama, Revelstoke and British Columbia are all actively encouraging British visitors to come," she continued.
The owners of La Massif, located just outside Quebec, have also recently confirmed they are to build a new site, added the tourism expert.
