Enjoy an autumn break at Cornwall's Lusty beach

An expert has recommended an autumn break in Cornwall for those seeking an action-packed time without leaving the UK.

Elliott Frisby, a spokesperson for the VisitBritain tourism agency, pinpointed Lusty Glaze Beach in Cornwall as the place he'd go to now if he could get a weekend off work.

Mr Frisby recommended visiting the area as its Adventure Centre offers a host of watersports from surfing, zip wire or abseiling to coasteering.

There is also the chance to admire the dramatic 200 foot cliffs of the privately-owned Lusty Glaze cove.

The expert said: "Enjoy the adrenaline rush and then head back to enjoy your stay at the Beach House or Chalet and relax with massage or reflexology.

"If the British weather remains true to form, it just means better waves and a greater reason to curl up in front of a roaring log fire."

For stag and hen parties there is also the chance to participate in I'm a Sea'lebrity - a game with a series of tasks including building your desert island 'des res' for the hens and clambering up the vertical cliff assault course for the stags.

Cheap travel insurance should be able to give you adequate cover for these exciting activities.
