A new survey suggested yesterday (August 28th) that an increasing number of Britons would like to strip off on the beach.
Cheapflights.co.uk conducted a poll which revealed that ten per cent of holidaymakers would be more than happy to leave their clothes behind for a day of sun, sand and sea.
Furthermore, the research found that participation in nudism is on an upward curve, growing by 20 per cent on an annual basis.
With that in mind, anyone looking to get in touch with nature in their natural state should be warned about the rules and conventions of nude beaches.
There are two different kinds, with the first actually requiring visitors to strip off or risk being asked to leave - a fate suffered by Sharon and Kelly Osborne on one such beach in Majorca last year.
The second type provides guests with the choice of whether to be in the buff or fully clothed and is often called a 'clothing-optional' beach.
It should also be noted that even if you are planning to go for the former and leave your valuables at the hotel, such possessions should still be covered by a comprehensive
cheap travel insurance policy.
The poll named some the world's beast nudist beaches as Playa El Mago in Majorca, Sweetwater in Crete, Haulover Beach in Miami and Valalta in Croatia.
