Backpackers planning a trip to Bristol are advised to consider one-way travel insurance as they prepare.
Bristol's tourism website, Visitbristol.co.uk, has been redesigned in a bid to promote the city more effectively and attract a greater number of visitors. The city was given a profile boost recently when DK Eyewitness Guides named it as one of the top ten places in Europe to visit, and so the city's website presence has been improved to capitalise on the new-found popularity. The new site enables visitors to book accommodation and attractions in the same place.
Steve Cook, web marketing executive at Destination Bristol, said: "We're hoping to set new standards in usability, fusing all the resources you'd expect from a tourist information site with a more user-centric approach."
Proctor and Stevenson, a design and communications agency, helped Destination Bristol to organise all the city's selling points into a format that was most effective for the web.
Backpacker travel insurance is urged for people planning a trip to Bristol.
