Online travel insurance could prove handy for trip to UK eco exhibit

People planning a trip to an eco exhibit in Norfolk have the option of buying cheap travel insurance before they leave home.

The Dereham Times reports that Deepdale Backpackers and Camping in Norfolk will be taking part in North Norfolk Coast Earth day on April 22nd, along with the local village of Burnham Deepdale.

Over 30 exhibitors will be available to talk to at Deepdale Farm on subjects ranging from renewable energy and home insulation through to composting and how to encourage more wildlife into the back garden.

The Energy Saving Trust will have a presence at the event and will offer energy-saving light bulbs to people who provide them with feedback.

An environmentally-friendly bus, used to run services from Burnham Deepdale, will also be available for visitors to see.

Many backpackers, some of whom may have bought gap year travel insurance, opt to stay in hostels and other forms of budget accommodation which offer eco-friendly management practices such as recycling and economical energy use.

In related budget accommodation news, online community CouchSurfing recently celebrated gaining its one millionth member, according to the New York Times.
