People planning a trip to one of the UK's rejuvenated seaside resorts have the option of buying
cheap travel insurance.
The government's investment in the UK's seaside resorts is transforming public opinion and creating publicity, a holiday company has reported.
According to Hoseasons, the Sea Change programme is set to allocate £15 million to seaside locations over the next two years, a fact that could interest those buying
online travel insurance.
Hoseasons marketing director Tim Fullam commented that the investment is "changing perceptions to more of a correct one", adding that Brits now have "a better appreciation of how good our resorts and attractions are."
According to statistics from Hotels.com published last week (May 6th), the English Riviera has been this year's most popular destination for British holidaymakers, with visitor numbers in Torquay and Newquay leaping 160 per cent on last year's figures.
Blackpool, Brighton and Llandudno have also witnessed a notable increase in visitors since the recession hit.
A total of nine more seaside resorts are set to benefit from the Sea Change programme by 2011.
