Japan is reportedly emerging as an increasingly popular destination for British skiers,
worldwide travel insurance customers may be interested to hear.
According to independent holiday firm Japan Ski Experience, British skiers are an "emerging market" for the country's tourism industry.
Lindsay Colbert, a spokesperson for the company, said a combination of powdery snow, "world class ski resorts and the country's exciting culture is a great draw for tourists.
She added that Japan has more ski resorts than any other country in the world, with the area of Niseko being particularly well renowned.
Located on the northern island of Hokaido, Niseko is a resort that has been perennially popular with Australian and Asian skiers, explained the tourism expert.
Her comments follow news Etihad Airways has announced new routes to Nagoya and Tokyo running from the first quarter of 2010 - the airline's first destinations in Japan.
