New research has suggested that Britons' favourite holiday destination so far this summer is Tenerife.
Price comparison website Cheapflights.co.uk analysed searches from holidaymakers on its website and found that the popular Canary Island retreat came out on top.
Sun-kissed Orlando in Florida was next up in second place, with the website reporting a 60 per cent increase in searches - a trend no doubt linked to the growing strength of sterling against the dollar.
Coming in at third and fourth places respectively were the traditionally popular Euro zone destinations of Alicante and Malaga.
Bangkok, named recently as 'the world's best city' in a magazine poll, was in fifth place, while there was a debut appearance in the top ten for Dubai, another increasingly attractive long-haul destination.
The resort of Paphos in Cyprus was up next in seventh - notable for being the only Greek destination in the running - while Dalaman in Turkey and Faro in the Algarve also seemingly remain popular with British holidaymakers.
The list - which was compiled by incorporating searches from May 1st to June 30th - was rounded off by Mallorca in Spain.
